From rural villages to urban settlements, we work at the grassroots with women, youth, and community groups to build programs that address structural injustice through education, psychosocial support, capacity building, and sport for development. We believe that resilient communities don’t just happen—they’re nurtured by investment in people, especially those long ignored or underserved.

💡 Our Pillars of Work.

Women’s Leadership & Economic Justice:

We work with women’s groups to expand access to resources, knowledge, and collective power. Our programs go beyond income generation—they center dignity, ownership, and self-determination.         What we support:

    • Savings groups and women-led cooperatives.
    • Leadership and advocacy training.
    • Gender-based violence prevention and response.
    • Access to land, finance, and local markets.

Coming soon: Mama Fundi Circles — A skills and tools-sharing initiative among rural and peri-urban artisan women, combining traditional crafts with business training and digital access.

Youth Empowerment & Mental Wellness.

CASA Foundation designs holistic programs for young people that foster critical thinking, creativity, responsibility, and healing. We provide safe spaces where youth can grow with support—not fear—through mentorship, arts, civic education, and mental health awareness.

Key areas:

    • Youth leadership academies.
    • Creative expression labs (film, poetry, music).
    • Mental health dialogues and peer counselling.
    • Career and entrepreneurship incubation.

Coming soon: “Voices at the Edge” — A storytelling lab and peer mentorship program for youth in informal settlements, helping them document and transform their personal and political realities through digital media

Sports for Development: Growth Through Play.

We use sports as a powerful tool for building life skills, teamwork, confidence, and healthy masculinity among adolescents—particularly boys and young men. Sport becomes a channel to talk about identity, responsibility, consent, mental health, and emotional intelligence—skills not always taught in formal settings.

Our model includes:

    • Community-based sports leagues with mentorship.
    • Gender justice & healthy relationships workshops.
    • School-based leadership through sports.
    • Coach-the-coach programs for youth leaders.

Coming soon: “Play for Power” — A year-round youth football initiative in partnership with schools and CBOs that combines physical activity with weekly sessions on values, consent, emotional health, and civic responsibility

Community Healing & Resilience.

We respond to collective trauma and long-term structural exclusion through programs focused on healing justice, community organizing, and systemic care.

Activities include:

    • Trauma-informed care training for frontline workers.
    • Community dialogues and intergenerational healing.
    • Resource centers for mental health and conflict resolution.
    • Arts-based healing (theatre, drumming, body movement)

 🧭 Our Approach:

    • Locally Rooted – We work with, not for, communities.
    • Holistic & Intergenerational – Healing and growth take time, and everyone matters.
    • Intersectional – Gender, age, class, and place matter in every solution.
    • Movement-Building – We work in solidarity with organizers, healers, and educators across Africa.

🤝 Partnership & Impact: We partner with:

    • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).
    • Women’s groups and youth networks.
    • Schools and local councils.
    • Philanthropic foundations and social enterprises.
